Presented with the open-ended design challenge of creating a conceptual calendar, my solution took the form of a calendar that doubles as a journal and a tool for mindfulness. The final product is a hard bound accordion book with each page corresponding to a month, and each line representing a single day. The vertical scale of one to ten on each page represents a range of how good or bad the user’s day was. A point is plotted on a line for each day and connected over the course of the year. Using different colored pens to correspond to different years allows the calendar to be used perpetually.
